{"id":933,"date":"2026-05-06T22:31:34","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T22:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/summerharmonycamp.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=933"},"modified":"2026-05-07T19:47:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T19:47:10","slug":"summer-harmony-camp-is-back","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/summerharmonycamp.com\/wordpress\/","title":{"rendered":"SUMMER HARMONY CAMP&#8230; IS BACK!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2026<em>only different<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After 20 wonderful years at the Estes Park YMCA serving high school students, Summer Harmony Camp is beginning a new mission preparing MIDDLE SCHOOL students to sing A Cappella harmony with confidence before they enter high school, now offering a metro-area 2-day Camp at the <strong>Jefferson County Fairgrounds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sponsored by local chapters of the Barbershop Harmony Society and Sweet Adelines International, two of the top quartets in the Rocky Mountain region (men\u2019s quartet and<br>women\u2019s quartet) will teach and lead a Middle School men\u2019s chorus &amp; women\u2019s chorus on <strong>Friday and Saturday July 10-11, 2026<\/strong>. Middle School students who love to sing (including Middle School grads who will be entering high school in the Fall) are invited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apply all that you\u2019ve learned in choir classes with the additional skills and techniques you will learn at Camp and you will elevate your high school experience in any musical endeavor, including the fun challenge of singing in a quartet. Singing together is a<br>great way to build friendships, and to begin a musical journey that can last a lifetime!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Music educators and parents<\/strong> are welcome to sit in and observe any of the sessions and we hope you will attend the closing show at <strong>7:00 PM <\/strong>on<strong> Saturday<\/strong> to see and hear what the youth choruses have accomplished!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register by completing the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdIDQRrzX7ptDt64UI92rjoc4fpGPo9fmQYBBvFQgfJGcAPUg\/viewform?usp=header\"><strong>Registration Form<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheet music and learning tracks for each voice part will be available for download from our website <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerharmonycamp.com\">www.SummerHarmonyCamp.com<\/a><\/strong> after you register. We\u2019ll help you with<br>voice part selection. With the tracks you can learn the music before Camp begins!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Camp starts at <strong>9:00 AM<\/strong> on <strong>Friday<\/strong>, and in addition to rehearsing the chorus songs there will be various presentations on excellence in harmony singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll serve lunch and dinner at the Fairgrounds, and Friday evening it\u2019s \u201c<strong>Talent Night<\/strong>\u201d where Campers are invited to share ANY talent be it musical or otherwise (could be dance or singing or instrumental or speech or juggling or magic tricks or ???).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We wrap up and go home at <strong>8:30 PM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Camp resumes <strong>9:00 AM Saturday<\/strong> with more rehearsals, more presentations, lunch and dinner, and concludes with a <strong>free show<\/strong> from <strong>7:00 to 8:30<\/strong> <strong>PM <\/strong>including inspiring performances by local choruses and quartets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cost of the Camp including all of the above is $35.
